Over 2 decades ago I happened across a pet fundraiser in one of my local parks. It was a fundraiser for a humane society which offered fun games for pet lover’s to participate in like, a local disc dog tournament. After entering the tournament and seeing how much fun my dog had and from the day the canine disc came into my dog’s life his destructiveness disappeared. Boy was I thankful to have found a challenging way to tire my dog out. As the old adage says, a busy dog is a tired dog, but a bored dog can be a bad dog that might create a game which you may not like.

Sometimes, long periods of cold weather or too much snow can make kids and pets feel cooped up and go stir crazy. So, let’s look on the bright side of things. This may mean that you get a few school snow days, so why not make them fun for you and your pet. Growing up in Michigan the snow used to be so high along the sides of the road that we could not see the school bus coming down the road. However, after living in the Atlanta, Georgia area for the last 24 years, and not being used to having no snow, it was important for me to make this snowy white Holiday season fun. So, here are some fun games which I played with my dogs to keep us from all going stir crazy.
